7 Breeds That Can Defeat Cane Corso (The Ultimate List)

When someone asks us to name some of the strongest dogs in the world, Cane Corsos are without a doubt the breed that immediately springs to mind.

Cane Corsos are brave and robust dogs, but some breeds may be too much for them.

Find out which seven dog breeds are capable of putting up a good fight or even taking out a Cane Corso in a one-on-one match.

Let’s get this started!

1: Kangal Shepherd

Kangals have the strongest bite force in the canine world, measuring 734 PSI. They have an incredible bite force, a height of 33 inches, and a weight of 140 pounds, but what makes them so dangerous is their aggressive and protective mentality.

Kangals enjoy being the leader, dislike other dogs in their domain, and are strong and independent dogs.

A fight between a Cane Corso and a Kangal would be devastating; both dogs are capable of injuring one another; yet, if they were to fight in a cage, Kangal would win since it’s simply more powerful than Cane Corso.

2: Tibetan Mastiff

Tibetan Mastiffs have the appearance of Lions, and for many people, they are one of the most stunning-looking mastiff dogs. However, don’t be fooled by their beauty; they are a nightmare for intruders and other canines.

The Tibetan Mastiff is noted for its fearlessness and brute force. They have no fear of anyone, and can even deal with a Wolf.

They were developed to protect Buddhist monks from predators including mountain leopards, bears, and wolves.

A battle between Cane Corsos and Tibetan Mastiffs will be extremely violent, with both dogs aiming for a fatality; however, Tibetan Mastiffs have a minor advantage because they are more aggressive and heavier than Cane Corsos.

3: Bandog

Bandogs are perhaps the most dangerous dog breeds, in fact, some believe that they were created in laboratories for dog fighting purposes.

These dogs are unsuitable for families. Only experts should have them. Yes!! they are very aggressive!

Bandogs have the strongest biting force after Kangals, with a bite force of roughly 700 PSI, which is astounding. Cane Corsos, on the other hand, are not far behind, with a bite force of roughly 650-700 PSI.

Bandogs look somewhat like Cane Corsos in appearance; however, they are not as kind as Cane Corsos. A Cane Corso can be defeated by a Bandog in a one-on-one fight, but the fight will not be one-sided.

4: Tosa Inu

Tosa Inu

Tosas are substantially taller and heavier than Cane Corsos, and while Cane Corsos have a stronger bite force, in a battle, raw strength provides Tosa Inus an advantage over Cane Corsos.

Tosa Inus, like Cane Corsos, are extremely aggressive dogs. They will go to any length to protect their loved ones, which is why they are considered one of the best guard dog breeds.

Because they are originally from Japan, the country of the Samurais, getting a Tosa Inu will provide you and your loved ones with an added degree of security.

5: Caucasian Shepherd

The Caucasian Shepherd is a large livestock guardian dog endemic to the Caucasus region, specifically Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Dagestan.

These massive dogs are known for their fierce and protective attitude. Their enormous size and fluffy coat set them apart from the other dogs.

Their great power, bravado, and incredible biting force make them a viable challenger in one-on-one combat with a Cane Corso.

The interesting thing about them is that many people believe they are linked to Kangals, although they are not. Both dogs’ origins are distinct from one another.

Furthermore, it can be challenging to obtain a Caucasian Shepherd because they are restricted and limited in many regions of the world.

6: Alabai

Another large dog breed that is well-known for its incredible strength and aggressive nature is the Alabai. Though there hasn’t been any confirmed fighting between the two, experts believe that an Alabai can overcome a Cane Corso, as they are heavier and taller than Cane Corsos.

Alabai also has an amazing bite force and battle intelligence, just like Kangal and Caucasian Shephard dogs.

7: Pit Bull

Pit Bull is the only breed that is not a mastiff on this list. Personally, I don’t think a Pit Bull can beat a Cane Corso in a battle, but as many experts say, pit bulls are the strongest and most courageous dogs out there, and they are literally bred for dog fighting.

Pit bulls are not afraid of any animals and will fight a Lion to save their loved ones.

Because of their great power and bravado, it’s difficult to predict who will win between a Cane Corso and a Pitbull, but many people believe that Pitbull has a little advantage due to their genetic makeup. What are your thoughts?

Some Other Dog Breeds Thought to Be Stronger Than Cane Corso

Rottweiler

Although they are not as large and heavy as Cane Corsos, Rottweilers are very courageous canines with a muscular build. If they ever get into a battle, they can definitely put up a good fight.

Great Dane

Cane Corsos are shorter and lighter than Great Danes. Their lofty stature offers them an advantage over Cane Corso, although they are not as nimble or muscular. A fight between them, however, would be extremely close because both of these canines are extremely powerful.

Bully Kuta

This Indian/Pakistani-origin dog is tall and pretty aggressive. They can give a tough fight to a Cane Corso, in fact, some experts believe that can even defeat a Cane Corso.

Conclusion

Defeating a Cane Corso in a one-on-one fight is not a piece of cake, as they are one of the strongest breeds out there, but experts believe there are some breeds such as Kangals, Bandogs, and Tibetans that may defeat a Cane Corso.

I hope you liked this post.
